The Molecule Farm
In 2011 I did a series of large oil pastel drawings of the performers of Circus Flora,
St. Louis's magnificent local circus.
The drawings were shown at the Arts and Education Building.
All of the drawings were donated to Circus Flora.
Circus Flora
I videotaped the performers of Circus Flora at a live circus performance in St. Louis in 2010. I then scanned the video frame by frame to find appropriate images. After extensive sketching, I rendered the images I chose, which you see here, in pastel on black paper. The drawings were shown at a one-man show at the Arts and Education gallery, then donated to Circus Flora.
